This guy is booked for the next month, but still took 15 minutes out of his busy day (i could literally hear him working on stuff while talking with me) to talk shop about outlets/electrical history of the area. Gave me the knowhow to possibly solve this issue WITHOUT ME PAYING HIM. I felt like I was talking with the small town electrician back home in Michigan. Great guy, very professional.

Chris/My Oakland Electrician saved us on a Saturday night! Half the electricity went out in our house, mid-movie viewing the weekend before Xmas. Saw great reviews and boy does Chris ever deserve them. Walked me through troubleshooting and eventually correcting the problem, all while on the phone. Chris was patient, precise and proficient! The lights went out in my house at around 745 pm on a Monday night. I was in the dark and without any electricity. I checked the fuses and nothing was amiss. I was lost. I knew no one would be open and I would have to wait till sunrise before I could see anything. But I did not give up. I searched "emergency electrician" on my phone and to my surprise more than a few places popped up, and all but one of them closed - My Oakland Electrician. I called. Chris answered. Within an hour I was out of the darkness and into the light. I have never dealt with another person who was as helpful and forthcoming with information as Chris was. He didn't just show up, disappear, and return via magic when my lights came on. He wanted to help me learn about my house and its electricity so that I wouldn't be helpless. I cannot be certain of many things in this life, let alone what lies inside the will of man, but, had I to guess from the evidence of my interaction with Chris and My Oakland Electrician, the man wanted to empower - no pun intended. He wanted to give information so that I wouldn't be caught in a bind at a late hour on an inconvenient day of the week. If there was a simple fix he did it, but its important to point out that he also wanted to get at the possibility that maybe the"simple fix" wasn't a bandaid on a gunshot wound. It could be indicative of some bigger issue. So instead of coming over, disappearing, and returning once the rabbit had been pulled from the hat, he found what the bigger issue was and he fixed it as well as educating me on simple things I could do to stop an issue like this from ever happening again. Guy is incredible. Give him all of your business. Very simple, dude is incredible. The world would be much more pleasant if a lot of us handled things as calmly, evenly and as thoroughly as Chris from My Oakland Electrician. Thanks a million.

I called Chris to request a quote for an electric stove installation (which other electricians had told me would require upgrading and moving my electrical panel - a very pricey endeavour). After chatting for about 15 minutes about what this would entail, he had the excellent advice to just extend the gas line instead, which turned out to be far cheaper than all the electrical work this would've required - I'm very grateful for his honesty.

This guy is very friendly and nice. My old AC wall outlet is having problems so i replaced it with a new AC wall outlet, i must have hooked up the wires wrong, it keeps tripping my power breaker. This guy fixed it at a very reasonable price !

I was having issues with my breaker, and Chris immediately helped me resolve the issue over the phone. He was extremely knowledgeable and clearly communicated the steps that needed to be taken in order to fix things. I definitely recommend giving Chris a call if you're looking for someone who will help quickly and efficiently.

Our electrician was very well-mannered, very professional, and was focused on the project about to happen. I was very sorry for changing the appointment time and dates but he kept his professionalism and was friendly. He had great communication skills and listened well to the problem and was very concerned. I would have loved to hire him but my supervisor had a sudden change of plans with a contractor he wanted to use. I appreciate your patience. Thank you.

Thank you Chris💯! The lights in half my kitchen had no power. I called Chris on Friday to set up an appointment. His response was immediate. Chris arrived to my house at noon and by 2 o'clock everything was fixed. He's very honest and definitely knows his stuff. It was more than a pleasure doing business with Chris! I have adopted him as my new electrician🌞

Chris really came through for us in a pinch. He was knowledgeable and very very detail oriented, he identified an issue with the connection to the outside electrical lines and explained everything and helped us get PG&E out there to fix the issue. He looked over our breaker and all of our appliances to make sure everything was in working order. Would recommend.
